Portfolio Manager’s Experience:

Mr. Shobhit Agarwal has over 17 years of experience in financial services across fixed income, lending, treasury management and senior leadership. Shobhit spent over a decade with Deutsche Bank and Standard Chartered Bank in India, managing fixed income portfolios and structuring solutions. He subsequently joined Navi, where he set up the treasury function, managing over ₹5,000 crores. He later led the lending business, scaling the AUM from ₹500 crore to over ₹12,500 crore within three years. At Grey Sky Capital, Shobhit brings deep expertise in asset allocation, risk management, capital markets, credit evaluation, and business scaling. He has been appointed as the Principal Officer of Grey Sky Capital Private Limited (GSCPL). In this role, he is responsible for all key decisions relating to portfolio and fund management, regulatory compliance, client management, and the overall operations of the Portfolio Management Services business in accordance with SEBI (Portfolio Managers) Regulations, 2020 and applicable industry standards.

Portfolio Manager’s Qualification:

Mr. Shobhit Agarwal is a Chartered Accountant (All India Rank 6 in Finals) with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Hons.) from Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), University of Delhi.

Investment Objective

The investment objective of Grey Sky Capital Smart Core Portfolio is
(1) Deliver a higher return per unit of risk (volatility) than the benchmark index.
(2) Generate absolute alpha against the benchmark index
(3) Minimise drawdowns
(4) Liquidity management

Investment Strategy

The GSC Smart Core Portfolio is a dynamic, rules-based investment strategy designed to deliver growth, preservation, and disciplined compounding, suited for medium to high-risk takers. The strategy employs proprietary quantitative models to allocate dynamically across equities (top 250 stocks by market cap), debt instruments (primarily through liquid ETFs and mutual funds), global equities ( primarily through ETFs and Mutual funds), and metals (gold and silver ETFs/ Funds). Key features include:

    1. Systematic, data-driven asset allocation responsive to changing market regimes and risk signals
    2. Multi-factor scoring for security selection and portfolio construction
    3. Periodic and risk-triggered rebalancing to maintain target exposures and risk controls
    4. Transparent performance reporting, using industry-standard methods (e.g., TWRR)
    5. Minimum investment as prescribed by SEBI or Portfolio Manager from time to time (currently ₹50 lakh)
    6. Suitable for “medium to high” risk-profiled clients only.
