Fund Manager’s Qualification:

Hiren Ved: A graduate degree in Accounting from Mumbai University and a post-graduation in Management & Cost Accounting from The Institute of Cost Accountants of India. Mythili Balakrishnan: She holds a B.E (Electronics and Communications) degree from Delhi College of Engineering and diploma in management from IIM Ahmedabad. She is also a CFA charter holder.

Investment Objective & Strategy

The investment objective of Alchemy Emerging Leaders of Tomorrow – Category III AIF is to carry on the activities of a category III AIF as permissible under the AIF Regulations and generate long term capital appreciation by investing in such opportunities including investing in, (i) listed Indian equities comprising of large cap stocks and about 65% in Small and mid-cap, and (ii) about 10% in IPO opportunities or any other instruments allowed under Applicable Laws.

It is hereby clarified that the investment allocations provided above are indicative and may vary as determined by the Investment Manager in the best interests of the Contributors.

Investment Philosophy

The investment philosophy of Alchemy Emerging Leaders of Tomorrow – Category III AIF is applicable to the Fund and as adopted by the Investment Manager is characterized by the following:

  1. Growth at Reasonable Price. The Investment Manager’s investment philosophy is to identify high quality companies with strong growth prospects benefitting from themes such as India’s rising discretionary spending, digitalization, global outsourcing, import substitution, improving manufacturing competitiveness and investment. The Manager will selectively invest in companies undergoing special situations. The Fund will generally comprise of 20-25 portfolio stocks selected via bottom-up process to identify companies with ethical and strong management teams, sound financials and competitive advantage leading to improvement in market position.
  2. Invest for long term. The Investment Manager does not currently expect to trade the assets of the Fund in and out of investments to capture short-term volatility.
