About ASK Lighthouse Portfolio
ASK Lighthouse Portfolio is a high-conviction, satellite PMS strategy by ASK Investment Managers, built to harness transformational opportunities across a few focused sectors. This market-cap agnostic portfolio is uniquely designed to capitalize on India’s long-term structural growth themes such as Infrastructure, Energy, Defence, Manufacturing, Railways, Capital Goods, and Allied Sectors. The portfolio aligns with ASK’s core investment philosophy of identifying sustainable businesses with strong growth triggers.
With flexibility to shift themes over time, ASK Lighthouse brings a unique balance of consistency and adaptability. It is built for HNIs and family offices looking for capital preservation and superior capital appreciation through selective exposure to high-impact sectors.
Investment Objective
The core objective of the ASK Lighthouse Portfolio is to deliver long-term capital appreciation by investing in a compact portfolio of 15–30 companies undergoing structural transformation. The fund aims to capture the high growth phase of businesses, where earnings momentum and operating leverage are expected to drive valuation re-rating.
Unlike other compounding-based PMS strategies, Lighthouse focuses on journeys of RoCE improvement, relatively higher portfolio churn, and theme transitions as opportunities evolve. The portfolio retains ASK’s foundational principles of high-quality management, margin of safety, and strong competitive moats.
Investment Strategy
ASK Lighthouse follows a hybrid Top-Down and Bottom-Up investment approach, where:
- Top-down sector selection identifies 3–4 high-potential investment themes such as Infrastructure, Energy, Defence, Railways, and Manufacturing.
- Bottom-up stock selection ensures only fundamentally sound businesses with strong balance sheets, scalable models, and visible earnings growth are included.
- The strategy is agile—allowing transitions between themes when marginal benefits reduce or new opportunities emerge.
The strategy consciously avoids companies with inconsistent earnings or volatile fundamentals and instead targets businesses with the potential to deliver high RoCE and operating leverage during the growth inflection phase.
